Refund and cancellation policy

This policy applies to professional customer due diligence audit engagements with Future Digitalapi. This website does not sell products, ship goods, or process checkout payments.

Eligibility

Fees are invoiced under a signed engagement letter. Refunds are considered only for amounts actually paid to Future Digitalapi for that engagement.

Timeframe

Refund requests must be sent in writing to engagements@future-digitalapi.digital within 14 days of the invoice payment date or before fieldwork begins, whichever is earlier, unless the engagement letter states a different window.

Full refunds

A full refund of prepaid fees is available if we cancel the engagement for reasons other than client breach, or if you cancel in writing before the access agreement is signed and before any fieldwork or customer-file review has started.

Partial refunds

If you cancel after fieldwork has started, we invoice for work completed—including planning, interviews held, and file sampling performed—and refund any unused prepaid balance. Deposit amounts marked non-refundable in the engagement letter are retained.

Non-refundable items

Non-refundable items include: scoping deposits expressly labelled as such; fees for completed report delivery; third-party charges we paid on your instruction (for example secure data room fees); and time already booked for on-site sessions that you cancel with less than five business days’ notice.

Deposits and rescheduling

Deposits secure auditor calendar time. You may reschedule once without fee if you give at least five business days’ notice. Later reschedules may incur a rescheduling charge stated in the engagement letter.

No-shows and work already started

Missed workshops or walkthroughs without timely notice are billed as delivered for that session. Work already started—policy review, file sampling drafts, or screening control testing—is payable even if you later cancel the remaining scope.

Purchased materials

We do not sell physical goods. Templates or evidence-pack formats created for your engagement remain part of the paid deliverable and are not separately refundable once issued.

Refund process and method

Email engagements@future-digitalapi.digital or call +852 2493 4187 with your engagement reference, payment date, and reason. Approved refunds are returned by the original bank transfer method within 21 business days of approval.

Exceptions

Statutory rights under Hong Kong law that cannot be waived remain available. Ongoing monitoring assurance retainers renew per the engagement letter; unused future quarters may be cancelled for a pro-rata credit of prepaid but unstarted periods only.
